Survivor: Catching up during the off-season

While waiting for the premiere of Survivor: Brazil (Feb. 12!), I’ve been taking the time to catch up on some past seasons of Survivor. I just finished Season 9: Vanuatu and (spoiler alert!) watched Chris win big with the comeback of the century! (I. Love. Ami.) Now, I’m entering Pearl Islands with 3 episodes in the bag.

My question is this: Why aren’t there MORE seasons of Survivor available on DVD!?!? So far the following have been released:

Season 1: Borneo
Season 2: Australian Outback
Season 7: Pearl Islands
Season 8: All-Stars
Season 9: Vanuatu
Season 10: Palau

After Pearl Islands, I’m left with nothing! (Damn me for not watching anything between Marquesas – the worst season everrrr – and China!) Now I have so much Survivor left to watch and no way to get there!

Yes, I can watch them on Todou via this list of links, but what if some episodes don’t work? The picture is shitty, the sound quality lame, and watching a whole season on my computer? That’s no fun!

CBS and Paramount Home Video: PLEASE RELEASE THE REST OF THE SEASONS! Survivor is known to have some of the most loyal fans ever, so where’s the love? Ok – It may not be financially plausible to release ALL of them…but how about Cook Islands? Fans Vs. Favorites? Maybe Guatemala?

More DVDs can and should happen. Some exec needs to get on that ASAP.

PS – CBS.com has the new cast of Brazil up on the site! Go here to check the newbies out!

  1. I don’t think Marquesas was the worst. I think that first All Stars season sucked the most, followed by “Fans Vs Favorites,” which was almost unwatchable. But…excited for February 12th!!!

  2. Gail, no! Fans Vs Favorites was one of the BEST SEASONS EVER! What didn’t you like about it?
